Waffles are always better than pancakes. For starters, they have ridges, which allow for the retention of delicious syrup and butter. They are also structurally more sound. You can make a stack of them, and then, pile them high, without living in fear of your breakfast crumbling down. Like all good recipes, our yogurt waffle recipe is bare bones, without unnecessary preservatives. It’s going to bake up golden and crispy, a perfect platform for your breakfast ideas.
Step One. Preheat waffle iron
Plug in your waffle iron. When it is ready, there will be a light indicating so on your waffle iron.
Step Two. Make your batter
In a medium bowl, combine ingredients. Do not over mix.
Step Two. Make your waffles
In the prepared waffle iron, cook until batter no longer steams. Waffles should be crispy and golden.
Once they’re ready, the classic way to eat them is with warm, melted butter and copious amounts of real maple syrup, but that’s not the only way to dress them. Cover them with bananas, strawberries and fresh whipped cream for a lighter treat. We’ve even heard tales of topping waffles with chocolate sauce and toasted marshmallows.
